Audition on Sunday February 24th - several fun, mostly physical role

Audition announcement
For project: Liberation (a feature length SF movie, filming in Seattle in
April and June) (casting the remaining roles in the movie)
When: Sunday February 24 (1 p.m. -5 p.m.)
Where: Most likely in the University District in Seattle. (We'll email
driving directions when you sign up to audition.)

or emailing questions, as it may have answers to your questions. *******
The audition will be a cold reading.
Note: Most of the characters being auditioned for don't have a lot of
dialogue, so the audition has more to do with how you create the character
physically, than how you deliver their lines. (We'll post the sides online, but
again, think of these as mainly physical roles)
The movie will be submitted to major film festivals when it's completed.
Actors will be given meals, screen credit, and a copy of the finished movie
on DVD. (No $$ pay)
All characters can be any race, except for Billy Ryan, who is Caucasian.
To be considered for a role you will need to be available the entire day the
actor's scenes are being shot (see film dates listed next to character)

Roles we are casting include:

CUTTER (a doctor) (male) (any race)
Cutters's scenes will be filmed on 6/21, 6/28, 6/29
Cutter the kind of doctor who runs unethical experiments.... takes spinal
fluid from people while others hold them down.....he's old, weird, a grey sort of
being, frightening.... would fit in in Nazi Germany. Don't think "
caricature of a Nazi doctor," think the real thing.

HACKER: a computer whiz (female) (any race)
Hacker is a weird antisocial woman, a drug addict... might be gothlike...
could be played by an actor of any age...creates a computer chip and implants it
in the hero
Hacker's scene will be filmed on Saturday 6/21

BILLY RYAN (male) (white) (teenager or young adult - should look young -
character is male, young, very strange) (he's a clone, has never been around
normal people)
Billy's scenes will be filmed on Friday 20
(Billy DOES have a lot of lines, so we'll be posting the sides for his
character online)

PRETTY LADY THREE (extra) (female) (any race)
A pretty young woman who has her eye on one of the lead characters in one
scene. Scene is basically nonverbal flirting, and laughing with her friends.
Actor's scenes will be filmed on Friday April 11

DR. AABRAMS
(male or female) (any race)
Dr. Aabrams is a medical doctor, not the crazy Nazi kind but a normal
person.... worn out after a long day, but compassionate.... has to deliver some bad
news to the protaganist. Small role but has some emotional range. His or
her scenes will be filmed on April 13

GRUMPY PRISIONER(male) (any race)(small role, male, prisoner in an alien
court gets dragged in, acts gruff and grumpy, gets hauled off to be shot)
Actor's scenes will be filmed on June 7 and 8

Four extras to play weird SLITHERY ALIENS (male or female) (needed on Friday
June 20th). Audition will be non-verbal; "move and slither like an alien."
Actors will look very non-human in the finished film, after video editing.

Three women to play ALIEN HOOKERS who are beating up a male victim. Their
bodies look human but their heads won't. (i.e., they're wearing alien
masks.) Scene will be filmed on Friday April 4th. (female; any race) (oh, and, we
also need a male victim, also an alien, to get beat up in this scene.)

PORN SHOP PROPRIETOR a frumpy old guy, looks kind of sleazy)
(Extra/background character) (no lines, but should be a memorable creepy
presence) Male, any race
Actor's scenes will be filmed on Friday 4/11

We also need an additional three MALE EXTRAS (any race) on Saturday April
12th. for a scene in which some guys who have been working in a factory job
are hitting the showers to scrub off the dirt after work. (Think of any
football movie locker room scene, or the one in Top Gun.)

The audition is on Sunday February 24th. You will be scheduled for either 1
p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. Your audition will last up to an hour. If
any of these time slots does NOT work, please mention it when you contact us
for an audition. Otherwise, we'll put you in whichever time slot is open.
