-Mavis you can save yourself the bother because unless your play
involves the High Priest entering the Holy he would not be wearing the
breastplate.

It's a play, like a movie, when have facts ever been an issue in the
entertainment industry? ;-)

FYI Mavis, if you haven't yet, go to www.templeinstitute.org and you can see
the implements being made for the next temple; and
http://www.templeinstitute.org/ is a link to thevessels_gallery_ 16.htm
garments for the High Priest, click on "next" and you'll see the front view,
you can see what they have for his Ephod - I think you may be going a little
overboard on the detail for the lettering on the gems that size though, they
won't be seen by the audience. Please send a link on pics when you're done!

newbie with newbie question

Hi y'all,
I am an amateur sculptor with a lifesize sculpture of a Labrador
Retriever that I would like to hollowcast in resin as a yard/garden
sculpture (hopefully mass produce it if it goes). Anyone able to point
me in the direction of a good tutorial, or is this just too much for
someone with no experience in casting? The sculpture is made in
plastilene clay over styrofoam so it's kind of difficult to ship off to
someone since the clay never dries.

Here's a thermoplastic that is workable at 140F. Re-usable. Perhaps it
will fit the bill.

Hallo,
yes thanks a lot that might be worth trying out. I just have to find a
way to get the material into the mold. A push-mold made of pu resin
might do the job. As far as I know heating will make this material
soft and pliable but never liquid enough to cast. Anyway well worth a
try.
Thanks a lot
regards
Wolfgang
