Well it looks like there is enough interest for me to get on the
job.
I'll head for the city (Toroonto) on Monday and try to get a
better fix on costs.
I've got a figure of about $25 for wood but need something
more solid for motor, pulleys, gears...
I'm still thinking pricing in the $200 to $250 range but if I can source out
some good prices then it should be easily under $200.00
BTW, feel free to comment on any of this.
Right now my plan is to build more or less what's on the rotomold
machine page. Wood for the frame etc. A few change to make it
more reliable...

Ah. There you go. You can take exercise while you are
doing your castings! :-)oo

Yes, some exercise would be nice. i figure the resin would set up in a half
hour, so that's about 15 or 20 times around the block but what will the
neighborhood think watching me ride around the block with a giant rotocaster
strapped to the back of my bike?

Here are some pictures of a homebuilt rotocaster I saved off the net a while back but my computer died back then and I was only able to retrieve the pics.
Hope it helps in those who want to build their own or get DOC to help out. Looking forward to seeing what comes out of this topic.

Kent:
Regarding "FANCASTER",
Both Lowes and Home Depot sell a spiked threaded
metal fixture that attaches to the bottom of the wooden posts, looks like a thick washer only with spikes, of which you would hit with a hammer centering it into the bottom of each post, of which you would then pre-drill a hole thru its center, so a bolt could screw into it.
You would only then have to ajust the length of the bolt to get it level with whatever floor your dealing with.
Four of both items would only run you about $10.00.
Sorry I can't be more specific.
