ONE DAY COMMERCIAL INTENSIVE - MONDAY, APRIL 28TH 6-9PM

DID YOU MISS OUR LAST SOLD-OUT INTENSIVE (March 30)?

I absolutely enjoyed being a student in your commercial intensive class today. I walked away with more knowledge about the business end of acting and learned new elements about the craft. Thank you for your energy. I look forward to participating in your other classes.
Regards,
Arlene Sparaco Colli

Dear Jagger,
Thank YOU. You demystified the process of auditioning for commercials and did a great job of answering many of the questions I had about SAG. It was also great to talk to you afterwards, at the party. I appreciate your sharing your perspective on the advantages and disadvantages of taking on acting jobs that are not in New York City, such as tours. I'm back on the road now, with two weeks left in the "Don Quixote" tour. I look forward to staying in contact and taking more classes with you when I get back.
Best,
Zak Kostro

Jagger, Thanks a bunch for the class. I learned a bunch, had a blast and thank you for providing all the networking possibilities. Seriously considering signing up for scene study class. It sounds real sweet!!!!!! will see you again soon. take care of yourself bro. Be healthy and have fun. Later bro! thanks man! Talk to you later!!!!
Sincerely,
Adam Young

Jagger, I just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful Commercial Intensive class and reception (AFNY's 4th anniversary event)
afterwards. Your energy inspires me and your commitment to your students and their success amazes me! I want to thank your lovely crew as well for a job well done and friendly smiles at all times. In less than one week, I've been made to feel like part of your extended family, which is very reassuring in this, not so friendly and often times, superficial business. I am absolutely convinced that your lessons and advice will prove invaluable for me very soon. I hope you take some time to yourself, after having given so much
to others. You deserve it! Thanks so much!
All my best,
Fabio Taliercio

Hi Jagger!
Thanks for an amazing class last night! I will definitely be looking into more classes with you!!
Jamie

Hey Jagger
LOVED the Commercial Intensive Workshop tonight!!! You really do have amazing energy, and your skills and perception brought out the best in everyone in the class! My biggest problem is making the right choices. Your coaching helped a lot with that, but I still wish I could carry you in my pocket to my next audition I guess I need to take a few more classes from you...
I'm looking forward to attending your casting events!
Thanks again!
Lynn

Dear Jagger,
It was such a delight to finally be able to take your Commercial Intensive class. And while I have been in and out of this business for years and worked on plenty of non-union commercials in Texas, I am ready to take my game to the next level. Your class was just what I needed.
Your commercial copy exercise at the end was worth it's weight in gold. Not only from my personal experience, but from being able to watch everyone else's choices and then the miraculous changes after you had given a new approach to reading the copy.
I am happy to have you as part of my 'arsenal' and look forward to celebrating when I book my big national SAG commercial (Soon! I know it will be soon!)
Mucho mucho thanks!
Kim Chapman

Jagger,
Awesome class. I will be working with you again.
Deidre

Jagger
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your Commercial Intensive last night. Getting a 360 perspective was invaluable. More often than not, instructors dont pay attention to the minute, yet essential details which help the first timer. Its those goods that can make the difference between feeling comfortable, or not, during what can be a stressful time for the uninitiated.
Best
Debbie Friedlander

Jagger
I had to run out right after class for a meeting so I did not get to tell you in person how absolutely wonderful your class was this evening! It was great to finally get to meet you in person, and I can not wait to sign up for more of your workshops/classes. Thank you!
Meghan Moore

Hi, I was in your recent commercial intensive, I liked the vibe and would like to take your upcoming offer for ACTING FOR BEGINNERS & COMEDIC ACTING (with a show)!
Thank you,
Shino Frances

I attended Jagger's Commercial Intensive last night and it was a three hour whirlwind that ended too quickly. In addition to doing a realistic mock Audition that left you with butterflies and Jagger's helpful and honest comments, we did a group commercial read of different commercials. It was very interesting to hear a bunch of people doing different reads and then to hear Jagger's comments for everyone. I took a lot from it. It was the real deal!! I highly recommend it. Thanks.
Joe Assante

Hey Jagger,
Thanks again for having me in your commercial class on Monday night. Looking forward to some industry nights in the future!
Kevin

Thank you, Jagger. I found the class to be very valuable. You'll definitely be seeing me in your classes and workshops again.
Best,
Maxwell Zener

Today was terrific. Your classes are always chock full of good stuff, and today was no exception. You not only got fantastic results out of each of us, you taught us how to "own" that ability. In a way, you took us all behind the magician's curtain, and showed us how to perform the tricks on our own. Amazing.
I am totally ready to get my SAG card and make the big buckeroos.
Mimi Weisbond

I REALLY enjoyed your class. I have a few commercial classes already I yours was very much worth my time. I feel even better about going out there to audition. Also, thank you so much for staying after and letting me ask you additional questions. I really appreciate it. I will definitely be taking more workshops through your program. Yay!
Jodi Skeris

Dear Jagger,
Get this! Soon after I took your Commercial Intensive I had an opportunity to audition for an AMEX Commercial. After a few days I got the call back. This was my first audition for a professional advertisement and I was able in a short amount of time apply what you taught in class. What can I say...Thank you Jagger.
Your classes are short and sweet and to the point and of course affordable. I really like the fact that it does not take a long amount of time to learn important aspects of acting and to present yourself with confidence. With all the tips and remarks that you gave me so far I feel I can tackle any audition room! For that: Kudos to you. Mucho Kudos. Looking forward to many more Classes and Performances with you.
Monika Baskiewicz

Hey Jagger,
Thank you for the commercial intensive. It was $ well spent - I learned a ton! I'm very excited for the upcoming commercial season.
Ashton Giaume

Jagger
Thanks again for the great class. I had a lot of fun and can't believe how much I learned so quickly!!!
Julia Price

JK, thank you for the informative class last night. And I really enjoyed the faux audition and feedback.
I hope to arrange my schedule for the October event, thank you for the opportunity to participate.
Best,
Robin Haden

Jagger, i was trying to wait around to say Thanks , but the line was kinda long & i didn't want to impinge on your down time before your 4:30 class. Anyway, although i've been making my living as an Actor since '96, Commercial acting is something i'm a novice at. I've booked two local (Phila.) lottery commercials & auditioned and had a callback for one Nat'l , but that's it. I really enjoyed your class on Sunday and gained a lot of solid, practical info for when (and if) i should get signed by a Commercial Agent. Your energy was infectious, your knowledge of the subject matter impressive and i really liked the improv you employed to get us to reach for another level during our "take two" commercial reads. Bravo! I look forward to taking another one of your classes in the near future. Hopefully, i'll get to work with you on a film or tv show one day. Regards,
B. A. Wilson

I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the commercial class this weekend. You really just tell it like it is and that's exactly what I needed to hear. I would love to take one of your acting classes but I'm going back to CA soon (I'm from a small town in northern CA not L.A. so you don't have to hate me haha). Hopefully I will get another chance next time I am in NY. Thanks again for everything, I will definitely be recommending you to friends!
Best Wishes,
C. Huls :)

Thank you I really appreciate the information, the experience was great I will definitely be in touch for other classes. also signing up for the agent interviews you were talking about. thanks I will stay in touch
Best regards
A. Izzo

Hi Jagger,
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for such great class today!
A. Norris

Jagger, I loved your class. It was packed with great and useful information and was worth every penny and every minute. Thank you for such an effective and awesome class! It was great!
S. Foshee

Hi Jagger!
Thanks so much for the class yesterday, I had a blast! It was great to get solid tips from someone who's been booking. I especially think creating a before/after the product will really help me. And it was really great to be cast in your mock-commercial, I definitely left feeling confident!
Cheers,
J. Montosi

I had a great time!
Thanks for all the great information, some things I already knew, but notes about agents and specifics about meeting them were invaluable! Thanks, plus the class is just good ole fun!
I'll contact you about the next class for sure!
Best,
A. Woodward

Hi Jagger
How do you keep up that incredible energy? This morning I feel like I got hit by a truck. Yesterday took out a lot out energy, (but put back in far more :) It was fun and exciting, but not without some high anxiety. I am a little shell shocked today, the class stirred up the bees in my emotional hive. I want you to know that in braving your acting class was just what I needed, and I thank you so much for that. Have a good week, and will see you again on Sunday
D. Mayer

Jagger,
I had a fantastic time at the intensive. I got a lot of information and clarification of information I'd already had. Also, I'd heard a lot about commercials, but didn't really think they were viable for me at all. Tonight made me rethink that as I'm making another push to get into the business (the money figures you threw around don't sound bad at all either). In addition, I hadn't performed in a -very- long time, so it was nice to get up there in front of people again. I remembered everything I've missed about performing.
So again, thanks so much.
C. Kess

Jagger
I must say, I attend few of this type of class, because I'm never sure what I will get out of them. You, my friend, made me a believer in your class. You are no- nonsense, upfront and honest guy, and boy did I learn. It was terrific, and I recommend your Commercial Intensive class to anyone who is serious about his or her career.
You are the best!
Bob L., Connecticut

Your Commercial class was outstanding, Jagger!
Role playing commercial auditions was very useful and your feedback was extremely beneficial.
The most valuable part was your insight on understanding the message behind the copy (this will give us an edge on the competition). I greatly appreciate your expertise and enjoyed the class tremendously!
OL

Thank you so much Jagger! It was a great class and I feel much more prepared for attacking copy and putting my own unique, entertaining interpretation on it!
Thanks again....
PO

Hey Jagger -
Just wanted to thank you for all the info you pumped into me yesterday. I learned more than I thought I would and you will most likely be seeing me in another class soon!
GM

Hey Jagger,
Thanks for the awesome class today! (I would have thanked you in person, but there was a massive crowd forming around the wise teacher...so I peaced out.)
Had a great time, and I'll definitely be seeing you again!
Take care!
AG

Jagger,
Your commercial intensive class was just that, intense. I learned more in a three hours with you than I have as long as I've been studying acting. Thank you for being the real deal. I also wanted reschedule a career help session for next week as well as get information on your on-going acting class.
JS

Dear Jagger,
Bottom line: What it worth it? Answer: Absolutely! The most affordable acting classes around! Even with a rebate, higher priced classes can't touch you!
Even with a discount and a rebate, higher priced classes can't touch you!
Bottom line: Did I learn anything? Answer: Absolutely! A more than effective, efficient approach to acting. It's a win-win situation.
Thank you,
RV

Jagger
You are a svengali ...loved your methods.
SC

Jagger - Thanks for the great workshop yesterday. I feel like I got a lot out of it. Even watching other actors make their choices and read their copy was educational. Thanks for keeping things moving along and fun. I hope I get a chance to work with you in the future.
GG

Dear Jagger,
Thank you so much for the commercial intensive. It was very helpful. Meeting you in person was one of the best parts, finally! I hope to continue to get to know you through classes and castings. Have a wonderful day
HG
(4 days later) - I just got a callback for a commercial. I did not book it but, a callback is just as fabulous. I am also freelancing with another commercial agent after she heard my commercial copy. Thank you so much for class. I will remember that the trick is no tricks, just always be myself relating to the product and circumstances.

So ... JOIN THE FUN!

York Theatre Company Special Agreement ref. ANTC $424/week minimum.

Rehearsals: June 23 27, 2008. Five performances June 27 29 as part of the Musicals in Mufti series (book-in-hand, full-staged readings).

Musical comedy based on actual historical events. It tells the story of Charley (originated on Broadway by Joel Grey), the Dauphin of France, who evolves from a hedonistic young man enamored of women in general (and Joan of Arc in particular) into the regal King Charles while Joan follows her voices to her tragic fate.

Seeking:
Charley: Man, late 20s - early 30s. A prince, seemingly uncertain of himself, perhaps naturally timid, but with an as-yet-untapped charm and ambition. A clown. Immature and clownish, he doesnt want to take responsibility for himself, let alone for all of France. While childish and playful, he is also stubborn and has a certain darkness to him. By the end of the show, he steps up and asserts himself as king.
Joan of Arc: Woman, 20s. Totally charismatic, a shining strength, and totally unaware of it. A sexy, headstrong heroine. Following the voices in her head, she leads troops into battle with successful results.
Archbishop Regnault de Chartres: Man, 40s - 60s. Pompous, overbearing, corrupt man of the cloth. Been there, seen that; somewhat cynical but not totally unkind.
General de la Tremouille: Man, 40s - 60s. Old warrior. Knows his way around the French court. Strong willed, but not without humor.
Minguet: Man, 40s - 60s. A veteran servant. Used to being passed over, but retains a certain sweetness. Charleys confidant; warm and caring.
Henry V / Others: Mid 30s. Role requires a versatile character actor who can play a variety of roles, both older and younger.
Charles VI / Others: Mid 40s - 50s. Role requires an older character actor who can play older or younger.
Philip / Others: Mid 20s - 30s. Appears likable and charming, but conceals ruthless ambition.
Pope / Others: Mid 30s - 50s. Versatile character actor to play a variety of roles.
Agnes / Others: Mid 20s - 30s. A beauty, unjustly neglected.
Isabella / Others: 40s - 60s. An older, but still voluptuous aristocrat. Outspoken and not afraid to tell it like it is.
Kate / Others: Woman, 20s. Hopeful but dim-witted princess.
Yolande / Others: Woman, 30s. Irate Italian lady with a strong accent. Rustic nobility.

To Be Or Not To Be - Equity Principal Auditions

Manhattan Theatre Club LORT $1,207/week minimum.
1st rehearsal: August 7, 2008. Runs September 11 October 2 at the Biltmore Theatre (Broadway).

Adapted from the classic Ernst Lubitsch film. Backstage comedy about a troupe of actors in Warsaw during the Nazi occupation. Through a madcap series of misunderstandings, misrepresentations and intentional subterfuge, the magic of theatre triumphs over the evils of the Third Reich.

Seeking:
Josef Tura: Mid 40s - late 50s, Polish. Leading actor of the Polski Theatre Troupe. A star turn. Great charm, warmth, charisma and comic chops. A leading man with the soul of a character actor who can deliver a soliloquy and a pratfall with equal aplomb. Some in the troupe might call him a ham.

Dowasz: Mid 50s - 60s, Polish. Director of the troupe. A classic artists temperament often curmudgeonly and superior, but passionate about the theatre. Has great belief in the power of his art and boundless enthusiasm for it. Warm and energetic, with a great ability to rally the troops when the chips are down.

Anna: Mid 40s - 50s. The costume and properties mistress, as well as the voice of reason. Marias confidante and the troupes mother hen. Pragmatic but warm. A dry wit.

Eva Zagatewska: 30s, Polish. Ingnue who is two or three (or four or five) days past her prime. Sexy, but not necessarily beautiful. A bit off-kilter, with a surprising combination of forthrightness and insecurity. Is she a dim bulb, or is she in on the joke? Good comic chops.

Grunberg: 50s. The older character actor in the troupe. Austrian Jewish migr. Rueful, soulful, intellectual, but not without wit. Lots of heart and integrity.

Sobinsky: Early - late 20s. Polish air force pilot. Very handsome, very virile and very young. Madly in love with Maria, and extremely earnest in his wooing of her. Boyish and ardent innocent who nonetheless knows his way around an airplaneand a few other things as well.

Colonel Erhard: 60s, German. Most powerful Nazi in Warsaw. A big man of big appetites. Everything about him is outsized. Boisterous, cheerful, pompous, kind of a slob. Sort of a Nazi Falstaff. But able to turn dangerous on a dime. Has taken a shine to Maria, and his attempts to woo her are as repulsive as they are absurd.

Silewski / Magicians Assistant: 40s/50s. Silewski: German Nazi. Menacing, predatory, a little elegant. Maybe even a little sexy, but in a dangerous way. Sharp and observant, with an unkind sense of humor. Magicians Assistant: In fairly convincing drag.

Walowski / Major Schweinlich / USAF Officer: Late 30s - early 40s. Strong physical presence; broad and buff a plus. Walowski: Polish. From the government censors office. On the take. Ordinary guy. Major Schweinlich: German. A Nazi torturer. Zealous and humorless. Scary. USAF Officer: Besotted young American theatergoer.

Young Grunberg: Age 10-ish, Jewish. Son of Grunberg. Hangs around the theatre as an apprentice/mascot. Must deliver Shylocks Hath not a Jew eyes speech, so facility with language is a plus. Adorable-ness also a plus but not a showbiz kid.

The following two roles of Maria Tura are cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.

Maria Tura: CAST.

Rowicz: CAST. 40s, Polish. The companys second banana actor. Has German blood and thinks this will be his saving grace in the face of the Naziswhom he doesnt consider that serious of a threat anyway. An intellectual lightweight.

Lunch from 1 - 2
@

Jagger
Your classes are easily the most fun and the most worthwhile acting lessons I've ever taken! The price of course is phenomenal - but really irrelevant. Above all else, the classes are both fun and valuable- a powerful combination! Your unbelievable level of energy- coupled with your perceptive and valuable observations and constructive feedback- tough, necessary but also nurturing- contribute to an atmosphere of learning which just blows away the competition. Other acting classes I've taken were relatively boring, usually with just a minimum time to perform - 5 minutes in a 3 hour class? - and were long on theory, short on execution. (Sometimes there was ALL theory and virtually little time devoted to actually acting.) In your classes we roll up our sleeves and get right to work learning how to become a character and tell the story, there is a maximum time for everyone to perform, which is great!- and when it's time to watch others, your feedback and guidance regarding their performances is so on-the -money (I think you're a f'n genius!) well, watching the other class members work on a scene and then perform has become a tremendously valuable - and very enjoyable learning experience.

Hey Jagger,
Just wanted to let you know how much this class meant to me. I have had a fear of performing live since my last time on stage but your writing, direction and genius knowledge of performance has given me a second wind. The entire experience was awesome. You challenged me to play characters outside my comfort zone and I thank you for it. Your ability to pull praise worthy performance out of an actors strengths and weakness's is truly brilliant. You are an awesome teacher and a comedic phenom. I am proud to have been able to work with you and I hope to one day get to work with you again. I'll end this by saying thank you for all I have learned.

obvious that he takes the time to teach them both the practical
business as well as the rudiments of what makes an interesting
performance or audition. As someone who is still out there himself
auditioning and working, Jagger brings a practical working man's
perspective to his classes and that is truly unique

Jagger- I was incredibly impressed by the quality performances I saw
in your class. Your students are confident, professional, well
prepared and willing to make exciting choices with the material they
are working on. I'd be more than willing to come back anytime to watch
more, it was an enjoyable evening!

Here are just a few that enjoyed our past events:

Thank YOU!!! I had so much fun the whole time (never thought that was
possible on a seminar). I felt completely comfortable to go in front
of Kevin because of the way you prepared us. Can't wait to do it
again!
THANK YOU!
Julia Price

Hey Jagger
I loved the seminar. The best part was being able to do it in front of
you first, almost like a mini dress rehearsal, and than being able to
do it with him. It really relaxed my nerves and I was able to be
myself. You will be seeing me in your seminars for sure! I'll think
about the classes.
Thank you soooo much,
Karen Summerton

Jagger,
Thank you for the meet & Greet with Erin. It was nice to get up in
front of two bona fide industry professionals such as yourselves.
Jason Goodrich

Good morning Jagger,
Thanks for holding the event. Okay I admit I was tentative about the
whole thing after a previous experience with another "agency". But
this was a very different experience. The other thing I thought was
valuable was that it was a LIMITED number of people in the group.
Unlike others who try to jam as many people into the seminars as they
possibly can. Nobody wins in those situations. Everything is too
rushed and the actors and Casting Directors feel like they are forced
into an assembly line situation. Which was part of the reason I was
tentative in the first place to attend this...however, after last
night didn't feel like that at all...and everyone was very relaxed and
happy because of it.Your assistants were terrific too, they were on
the ball with keeping everyone ready to go and answering questions.
I look forward to the next one.
Stephanie Van Vlack

It was great and I appreciate your tips and help. I've gone to
seminars like this before and it was not as professional as yours.
Catherine Pierce

Thanks, Jagger. I've been to similar things before and this was by
far the best organized . . . I really felt prepared.
Eric Johnson

Thank you so much for yesterday, I gotta say it was much better then
other facilities. You made everything real comfortable. I hope you
have a lot more with other casting directors cause I will be there.
Jaiden

Thanks Jagger for letting me in the seminar. I learned a lot if
anything else. You're a real genuine guy and I always learn and take
something from your classes.
Thanks
Joe Barbagallo

I would love to attend this event! The Kevin McShane event was great
and I want to continue meeting these people, if they're agreeing to do
an event with you then I know they're awesome and serious!
Thanks!
