ChrisPics Photography would like to thank Jagger Kaye & AFNY for the
rockin'
networking party on 3/30 and for letting me set-up camp to meet some
of ya'll, it was fun!

I would like to extend my offer of $50 off to AFNY members only
through April 31st.
(So $150 for 1 hr, $250 for 2)

I'd also like to thank this opportunity to say thanks to all my
recent headshot clients
for your business and your referrals!

And also, an apology to anyone who is waiting on a response or a
retouch in the last couple weeks.

Due to personal life changes, I've had to move (again!) and have been
extremely
busy/crazy. But trust me, I haven't forgotten you!

Thanks again AFNY and Jagger, you rock!

Best,
Chris

Co-Op Theatre East - Call for Play Submissions

Posted by: "EvitaRox@aol.com" EvitaRox@aol.com   thawrah85

Hello!

Please feel free to distribute widely.

Best wishes,

Ashley

****

Co-Op Theatre East (COTE) is seeking new, unpublished works for its upcoming short play festival scheduled for Fall 2008.

All submissions should:
- require small casts;
- be no more than 15 minutes in length; and,

fit the companys mission statement: The Co-Op Theatre East believes in the power of art to foster a dialogue for social change. We provide an entertaining performance forum in which to ask evocative, challenging questions of artists and audiences on our way to creating collaborative answers.

Four to five pieces will be selected for production as part of COTE's first short-play festival, tentatively scheduled for September 2008. We look forward to working collaboratively with participating playwrights as we develop these productions; however, as the festival is being staged as a fundraiser for Co-Op Theatre East, we cannot offer compensation to playwrights.

To submit, please send a copy of the script, along with your contact information and resume, to cooptheatreeast@gmail.com. Deadline for submissions is June 1, 2008.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Artistic Directors Ashley Marinaccio and Robert Gonyo via e-mail: cooptheatreeast@gmail.com. Additionally, please feel free to share this e-mail with friends and collaborators!

Thanks in advance, and we look forward to hearing from you!

Your classes are easily the most fun and the most worthwhile acting lessons I've ever taken! The price of course is phenomenal - but really irrelevant. Above all else, the classes are both fun and valuable- a powerful combination! Your unbelievable level of energy- coupled with your perceptive and valuable observations and constructive feedback- tough, necessary but also nurturing- contribute to an atmosphere of learning which just blows away the competition. Other acting classes I've taken were relatively boring, usually with just a minimum time to perform - 5 minutes in a 3 hour class? - and were long on theory, short on execution. (Sometimes there was ALL theory and virtually little time devoted to actually acting.) In your classes we roll up our sleeves and get right to work learning how to become a character and tell the story, there is a maximum time for everyone to perform, which is great!- and when it's time to watch others, your feedback and guidance regarding their performances is so on-the -money (I think you're a f'n genius!) well, watching the other class members work on a scene and then perform has become a tremendously valuable - and very enjoyable learning experience.

Hey Jagger,
Just wanted to let you know how much this class meant to me. I have had a fear of performing live since my last time on stage but your writing, direction and genius knowledge of performance has given me a second wind. The entire experience was awesome. You challenged me to play characters outside my comfort zone and I thank you for it. Your ability to pull praise worthy performance out of an actors strengths and weakness's is truly brilliant. You are an awesome teacher and a comedic phenom. I am proud to have been able to work with you and I hope to one day get to work with you again. I'll end this by saying thank you for all I have learned.
