"Open Air" is a seven-minute festival piece written by David Paterson who wrote the screenplay for "A Bridge to Terabithia". In addition to being a Milan Film Festival Winner, Director, Shira-Lee Shalit was one of the 12 finalists on Steven Spielberg's show "On The Lot".
Set in the present during an unnamed conflict somewhere in Eastern Europe, two women, separated just a few feet away from each other but well within the range of a hidden sniper, casually discuss their daily routines and how to dispose of the rotting corpse of a young woman laying between their two homes.
CASTING: ANNA, age 22-42, Preferably an actual Eastern European woman, (needs realistic Slavic accent) brave and angry.

Actors/Comics for Current Events Variety Show - non-AEA
Seeking five actors at home in a Saturday Night Live/Forbidden Broadway atmosphere for A Politicial Party!, a current events-based sketch and variety show. Must be able learn text and lyrics quickly and think on your feet. Some singing required; strong physical comedy a plus. We are looking for team players, who are able to work quickly and closely with the rest of the ensemble cast.
Looking for a diverse group of trained actors (male and female) with backgrounds in sketch, improv and/or political humor. Show will perform weekly over a 12-16 week period.

The character is a Harlem Jazz Club Owner with a lot of personality and love of people and music. The play takes us from the 1920's to the 1940's exploring Jazz Music and its major players.
I am looking for an actor that has energy and can befriend an audience easily.
The show will open at the Apollo Theatre in NYC the second week of June. Rehearsals begin in May.
The actor will be paid handsomely and have all expenses will be taken care of for the rehearsal period and limited run of the show.

I am a Newschool film director, and I am seeking actors for a project that I plan on submitting to festivals.
The film is titled "Perversion in Thirds," and it is a short, experimental film exploring themes of fetishism, taboo, and sexuality. It is experimental in nature, and the focus of the film relies on the tension of space and time against the themes themselves, rather than a traditional narrative arc, resolution (it doesn't have one). The "story" inter-cuts between three hotel rooms at the same time.
The actors must be comfortable with improvisation, as the script relies heavily on the actor's input and energy.
I am look for the follow to cast:
1. Business Woman (late 20s, early 30s)
An attractive, brunette business woman who will be blindfolding herself in a hotel room.
2. Prostitute (early 20s, or looks very young)
A young, blonde "escort" who meets a client at the hotel. She is tough, and doesn't let anyone take advantage of her.
3. Old Man (late 40s-mid 60s,)
An older, quirky man who is at first awkward and nervous about his interaction with an escort, but then begins to degrade her. Eventually, he is left alone in the room to himself.
4. Male Art Student (Early-Mid 20s)
An attractive art student who sets up a camera and tripod, and
and then records himself. He proceeds to hurt himself with various objects, and expresses sexual excitement within this pursuit.

No. 27 is a short film about 2 men connected in different ways to one act of violence. The film switches back and forth from the perspectives of a hired assassin and a man looking for vengeance against the killer. The assassin while tailing one of his marks accidentally kills an innocent women and her child and he then begins to question everything he has ever done. The man looking for vengeance is the husband and father to the hit-man's innocent victims and vows to find the man who killed them.
In the end when the two finally meet face to face we find out that the hired assassin has been leading the man to him in hopes to give him his vengeance. The hit-man reveals that in his line of business suicide is not a way out but believes the punishment for his sins should be death.

I've ever taken! The price of course is phenomenal - but really irrelevant.
Above all else, the classes are both fun and valuable- a powerful
combination! Your unbelievable level of energy- coupled with your perceptive and
valuable observations and constructive feedback- tough, necessary but also
nurturing- contribute to an atmosphere of learning which just blows away the
competition. Other acting classes I've taken were relatively boring, usually with
just a minimum time to perform - 5 minutes in a 3 hour class? - and were long on
theory, short on execution. (Sometimes there was ALL theory and virtually
little time devoted to actually acting.) In your classes we roll up our
sleeves and get right to work learning how to become a character and tell the
story, there is a maximum time for everyone to perform, which is great!- and when
it's time to watch others, your feedback and guidance regarding their
performances is so on-the -money (I think you're a f'n genius!) well, watching the
other class members work on a scene and then perform has become a tremendously

Web Nation Video is auditioning for a physically fit actress for an industrial video demonstrating fitness equipment.
Requirements:

Mid 30's
5' 8" or above
Excellent Physical Shape
Experienced using exercise equipment, especially elliptical trainers
Good voice for dialogue and narration
The audition will take place on Thursday April 17, 2008 between 1:00 – 2:30pm at in King of Prussia, PA. Please wear 'gym' attire that shows your level of fitness.
This gig will take one to two days to shoot and should take 3-4 hours per day.
