I am a freshman at NYU in Film and Television Production. I am currently working on a Radio Drama adaptation of Dr. Seuss' story 'Yertle The Turtle'
The Characters:
Narrator: Male - Old and Wise sounding. Not raspy. A captivating voice is needed. This character will carry much of the story himself and therefore needs to be engaging.
Yertle: - Old and Grumpy. Very kingly and regal sounding, but in a very over the hill disappointed with life way. He is King of his pond and wants to have a bigger kingdom to govern over.
Mack: If you have seen Monty Python's Holy Grail film I want this character to sound like Dennis from this film. Dennis is the very intelligent but stupid sounding peasant that the knights find outside the kingdom in the mud. He is classic sounding British peasant. Higher pitched voice. Both Yertle and Mack should be very characterized sounding. They should both have a strong cartoon - Dr. Seuss stylized sound.
The recording time will be wednesday morning.

We are looking for an actress and three actors between 18 and 22 years old for a short, 16mm film project made by students of New Jersey City University.
Auditions will be held at CHAMPIONS STUDIOS 257 W 39th STREET, 14th FLOOR, NYC from 5 to 8 p.m. The project will eventually be developed into an independent feature and the short will be submitted to various film festivals. The story is about troubled youth. You need to have acting experience, to be able to commit to one day shooting, and make time for at 1 rehearsal (probably done at New Jersey City University).
A monologue is not necessary, but be ready to read from the script and improvise.
There�s no pay, but everyone involved will get a copy of the film.
Shooting is scheduled for the 26th of April in Jersey City.

their severance money to have one last summer vacation. Low budget, HD shoot with

I am shooting a short piece for my film class at NYU THIS Thursday, April 10th, in downtown
Manhattan.
The project involves a down on her luck woman looking at old photographs of herself with
voice-over.
Any race, any physique, but must be on the older side (40+). Ability to/interest in providing
old photos of self or just old photos from your past for the project is a major plus! Please

Good morning Jagger,
Thanks for holding the event. Okay I admit I was tentative about the
whole thing after a previous experience with another "agency". But
this was a very different experience. The other thing I thought was
valuable was that it was a LIMITED number of people in the group.
Unlike others who try to jam as many people into the seminars as they
possibly can. Nobody wins in those situations. Everything is too
rushed and the actors and Casting Directors feel like they are forced
into an assembly line situation. Which was part of the reason I was
tentative in the first place to attend this...however, after last
night didn't feel like that at all...and everyone was very relaxed and
happy because of it.Your assistants were terrific too, they were on
the ball with keeping everyone ready to go and answering questions.
