We are casting several parts for the children's show, Wiseacre Farm, this Saturday from 2pm
to 5pm. It's a fun show that runs every Saturday and Sunday at Noon. We have two casts so
your commitment each week is only one hour on one day for the show. Everyone who gets
cast in the show is automatically invited to become a member of the 13th Street Rep
Company! Membership definitely has its privileges. All company members are also asked to
do three hours of volunteer time each week to help out in the box office, answer the phone,
easy stuff like that. We're a flexible group so we'll work with you to find the best times for
you.

For the audition, please prepare one monologue of your choice. Try to keep it about 1-2
minutes. No preferences, but for what it's worth, just remember that this is a show for kids.
Headshot and resume greatly appreciated.

NYU 16 mm b&w silent film - Birthday

Looking for 1 MALE and 2 FEMALE actors (30-35) for a short 16mm b&w NYU
student film shooting TUESDAY, APRIL 1ST.

The story concerns an attempted murder thwarted when the pregnant
victim begins to give birth.

Film will be around 3-5 minutes, packed with themes of life, death,
rebirth, connection, reformation and intervention. Because, why not be
ambitious -

The birth scene will involve some makeup/gore effects but require no
nudity.

CHARACTERS:

The male:

A killer with a method, a motive and a humanity; a repressed past, a
sick obsession, etc - his careful routine thrown off and challenged
with the birth, his motives ripped to shreds.

The female (AGE 30-35):

an endangered but strong victim who seems to turn the tables on her
assailant before her strength is reversed when she goes into labor.

The other female part is for a friend of the victim. She is murdered.

UNTITLED TEEN SHORT -NYU 16MM

I'm looking for an array of actors, age 16-22 to play TEENAGE
characters in an NYU 16mm B&W short film.

It will be a darkly comic exploration of teenage life.

There will be a voice-over, recorded separately from the shoot.

The shoot will take place between APRIL 4TH (Friday) and APRIL 6TH
(SUNDAY). It will not take all these days, most likely only one day
for around 6-8 hours.

I debated saying this but maybe someone can find something in this somehow thst tthey can relate to & help them

I almost passed last night from a heart attack, I said my goodbyes
internally to those I love & smiled as I actually felt my eye lids close ... I woke up 3 hours later & my heart feels like its beaten & used & on need of a rest

I need to catch up on emails, castings etc, but that ain't happening today (lol)

The www.ActorsFirstNY.com party/event/career fair is still on Sunday but understand I might take all of today to just do NOTHING
This community we have kicks & while 50% of the list probably could care less (that's fine & expected) the 50% that do I felt needed to know

I have a great family & a couple of friends that never let me down &
recently & they (as well as you) are stuck with me for ... awhile

PS ... A few members wrote me that another Yahoo group are taking what we do & copying word for word. I contacting them about 2 years ago & they refused to stop or at least give us credit. I am also aware of another casting site (a board) that badmouths us with a series of lies (saying my student accolades are not real & refusing to post a retractment etc). A few years ago I cared more but I really don't & last night proved that giving them no time is the correct way. So for the people I am referencing (because you read EVERYTHING I do) ... you are no biggie & its a compliment in a weird way toward me. For board members while I appreciate you always looking out for me & hope they continue to do so ... nobody can duplicate what WE built & that is victory in itself
