HOLLYWOOD TALENT MANAGER IN SEATTLE on FEBRUARY 29
Posted by: "yngprfrmrs@aol.com" yngprfrmrs@aol.com
Fri Feb 15, 2008 3:55 pm (PST)
Hello PerformersCALLBOARD Subscribers,
In the year 2000, Young Performers Callboard began in Seattle as a small, private email list. It was created to notify actors in the Young Performers Studio program about theatrical opportunities in the Seattle area and related YPS news.
The following year, it evolved to become PerformersCALLBOARD and now includes casting notices and crew notices and serves over 4000 actors and crew of all ages in the Pacific Northwest.
As the parent of a young actor, I personally recommend Donnajeanne Goheen and Young Performers Studio to any young actor who wants the guidance and training necessary to be competitive in the Seattle and L.A. markets.
John Floresca - owner

Actors needed for "An All Boy's Club" short student film
Posted by: "Byron Baer" boogcoproductions@gmail.com
Fri Feb 15, 2008 3:55 pm (PST)
Hello Actors,
We need a few of you, three males and two females for lead roles and as many
extras as possible, for a short film! We're students at the Art Institute of
Seattle in our third quarter, and we're finally on track to making a film
we'll be content with in our demo reel, and we'd like you to be a part of
it!
We're looking for three WASPy looking mid twenties to early fourties
gentlemen and two women of similar age and look for the main parts. We will
also need two women comfortable dressing up like a dominatrix for minor
roles.
Extras: All shapes, sizes, creeds, and colors welcome! Be yourself waiting
in a line in Purgatory!
The movie is set in Hell and Purgatory and does have some near-nudity
(nothing graphic will be shot or shown in the film, but the men must be
comfortable with being filmed shirtless and one woman must be comfortable
with her back being exposed for a shot).
The auditions will be at the Art Institute of Seattle south campus (on
Elliot Ave near the Pier).
Please arrive between 10am and 5pm on Friday, the fifteenth of February, or
call/email us to schedule a different time.
Shooting will begin late the following week.
Please address all inquiries to us either by phone or email:
BoogcoProductions@gmail.com
310 963 6489
Thank you for your time, and we hope to hear more from you soon!

The Playhouse - A student short film
Posted by: "LS Mun" leonsmun@hotmail.com leonsmun
Fri Feb 15, 2008 3:55 pm (PST)
Hello, my name is Leon Mun and I'm a student at the Art Institute of Seattle. Class assignments can be too restricting, so I'm producing this short-film on my own time because this is as much (maybe more) of an art piece than a technical piece.
THE PLAYHOUSE
Tagline - A Second Chance to Say Goodbye
Synopsis - This is a story of a grieving woman, recently widowed, handling her present situation horridly. Attending a counseling session at the funeral home, she confesses her guilty past. The counselor, not able to persuade, advises the woman to a night of strict focus about what she would like to tell her husband if she had the opportunity. Later that evening, she is visited by her deceased husband. Only things unravel and we find the husband is acted out by the counselor's lover.
I'm looking for 3 actors total (2 female, 1 male).
List of Characters -
1) LADY - She is a woman in her 50's. Her face resembles the beauty of her youth. Though bearing the charm of class, we see her in deepest despair. She is grieving for her lost husband.
2) COUNSELOR - A girl in her mid-to-late 20's. She's youthful in her passion, especially working as a counselor in a funeral home for little pay.
3) MAN - He is a man in his late 20's. Very animate, he is an actor in a community playhouse that he runs. Highly optimistic, his personality reflects similarly to his alter-ego, Husband.
***The character of MAN will also be playing - HUSBAND - He is a man in his 50's. His presence is strong, yet his character is charming, very loving, can be silly, but generally cool and calm.
My crew and I will be holding auditions by appointment, in the greater Seattle area, on:
Wednesday, Feb. 20th. Starting at 6pm.
Sunday, Feb. 24rd. (if need be)
This is a non-paid project, but there will be food provided. Of course, when the project is complete, cast and crew will receive Credit and a copy of work on DVD.
Please email me: leonsmun@hotmail.com
Or call me: 310.749.2527
Thanks!
