The Gods Of Bellbleu – Non Union Film
The town of Bellbleu had gone unknown for decades until recently. Bringing it into the light is the discovery of a killer that it had been harboring for all of those years! We learn that this killer was actually a well-loved member of the town of Bellbleu. We now see interviews of people who knew him, and we get many different perspectives.

Email: shadowcat.diana@yahoo.com

Father Thomas Whooley is the reverend of the church of Bellbleu. Reserved, soft-spoken... seeming a bit camera shy. He goes on to describe the amount of money Sebastian Rose, (the killer of the town), actually donated to the church. Anyone with a lighter, perhaps Anglo complexion would do, but is not required. Age Range; 35-50.

Wandering Aengus
The film is based largely on Irish folklore and the poetry of W.B. Yeats.
In the middle of the night a young man, Connor O'Driscoll, finds himself questioning the way his life is going and his, soon to be, constraints of fatherhood. In a moment of poor decision he walks out of his house, thinking of leaving his wife and unborn child. And then, at the worst moment possible a specter appears to him in the form of a beautiful woman in a white car. Her name is Deirdre and she is the embodiment of lust that has been manifesting itself in his dreams.
She leads him away from his home and into a series of levels towards seduction. The first is a purely physical act as she pulls him outside, lays him down on a bed of grass and they sleep together. The next is a game of hide and seek. As she runs through a field of reeds off the highway they are traveling on he chases her. The third and final level of commitment is begun when she lead him to her Uncle's house where they will try and settle together. His house is an isolated, mystic house sounded by forest on every side. Only one road leads up to it.
Her Uncle Aengus is old and weathered, but perceptive at the same time. He can sense the moral weight and sin on Connor's shoulders. He resents him from the very first time they meet for bringing these feelings into his house and onto his niece.
The tension grows between Connor and Aengus. At the same time the weight of Connor's immoral choice begins to really take control of him as Aengus's house become even more constrictive than everything he ran away from in his home.
As Aengus drinks with three of his friends during a card game he becomes very bitter towards Connor, eventually pushing him into the woods for a fight. Connor's tensions come to head as he too boils in anger and in the middle of the fight pulls and swings a thick branch to Aengus's head. Killing him.
In a panic Connor runs deep into the woods and into a stream that takes him away from the house. Deirdre is left alone in her Uncle's house watching over his body. While, Aengus's friends pursue Connor. In the morning as Connor sleeps they wait across the stream for him to wake. At the same moment in time Connor, his wife and Deirdre all sit and wait. Waiting for something to finally happen and pull them out of the space they are stuck in.

This film is a look at one man's moral mistakes and the consequences that come when you not only hurt the one you love but also, in that act, curse the next generation. It shows how your choices point you towards an outcome based on fate.

Breakdown
Connor – Male, 20-30. A young man about to have his first child with his wife Bridget. For the last few months he has barely spoken to his wife. He heard he was having a child and something in him shut himself off to the world (her). He has never stopped to make sense of it and figure out why he feels this way. Fear of: being responsible, trapped in the same like for the rest of his like, never knowing another woman again and the confirmation of the fact that he may be a bad man who creates a bad child. Fear of the world he is about to bring his child into. He doesn't think these things. He denies them because that is what he has to do. Be cold. If he weren't people would not like what he is, what he has to think about and what he has to say.
He has made himself cold and bare. Always staying clean-shaven, having a short military like hair cut and going about his days in a routine. Except for the few moments when he can see the light and it can warm him. But light is so elusive it is hard for him to ever really hold onto. To combat this disappointment he has adopted a life of forced action and his own, self-invented, duty. Be he cannot stand it and he has become more and more open to escaping (an alternative). Another life. He has had fantasies and dreams more so then ever in the lat weeks. He wants to chase desire, pleasure and sex – something he has denied himself for a long time. So, when this woman Deirdre, who, to him, is almost a fairy (an apparition), comes along he follows her blindly.

Bridget – Female, 20-30. (character is pregnant) Bridget is a women in her mid-twenties and a mother to be. She is wife to Connor. As she anticipates her new child she is nervous, afraid and overjoyed. She is 7 months pregnant. Her relationship with her husband has become cold; it terrifies her because she cannot tell what kind of house her child is going to be brought into. Connor has made their house cold by shutting himself off to her. She doesn't know why he acts so cold but she imagines that it is because he is afraid of having the child too, or worse, unlike her, he doesn't want it. She does not know but she has been made afraid and lonely by him and his refusal to speak, hear or hold her. Because of him she has lost her voice and feeling. Like her, her house feels cold, pale and dark. She feels entrapped: the house feels entrapping. She knows the child will change this.

Aengus – Male, 60. A man of the woods and the words. At the age of 60 Aengus has seen a lot of life, and particularly a lot of love. He is a grizzly man. In the woods he works with his hands much, they are thick and strong for this. He's lived in a house off in the middle of the woods for a long time. He lived with his mother for a long time but she is now confined to a home and he lives in this daunting house, trapped by the woods, alone. And as he lives here he is slowly loosing his sight with age.
His character if based on the Celtic god of love, who is embittered by love but had the utmost respect for it and its power. It is a respect and admiration for love that comes from the inability to have it. he must love so much, so many people (including all his own family), that he has spread himself thin and cannot have one full emotion. This is very bothering to him. From this he can feel the emotion of anger.
He basks in seeing two people in love but is infuriated and irritated when the love is not true. He has the ability to sense this clearly. To see into peoples true desires. He sees this in Connor as he blindly follows Deirdre, Aengus' niece. It is an irritating tryst.

3 Motorcycle Men – Male, 40-60. Burly, strong, tough men. Older, all about 40-60. Three leather clad men who all can ride motorcycles. They ride them whenever they don't have to work. They ride and play cards. This is that the do with their time. They are tough men, friends of Aengus', who all look to him as he always sits at the heard of the table. They are his closest friends who would do anything for him.

The Blind Man – Male, 40-60, African-American or White. A homeless man. He is a traveler. A man with no home but great understanding of the world. He travels and thinks but because he is always in he own head he has gone a bit mad. He speaks with meaning but it is hidden in nonsense. He is based on the idea of the blind poet as a homeless man.

HONOR
HUDSON GUILD THEATRE
AEA STAGED READING CONTRACT
TRAVEL STIPEND

HONOR is a new musical in development by 2007 Fred Ebb Award-winning composer/lyricist Peter Mills. The show takes the basic characters of Shakespeare's AS YOU LIKE IT and sets the story in feudal Japan, emphasizing the plot elements of romance and redemption of family honor, and downplaying the broader comic aspects of the play.

SEEING UNION AND NON-UNION :
HANAKO (ROSALIND) Hanako (Rosalind). 20's. Strong soprano belt / mix, as well as a chest voice sound for when she is disguised as a boy. The daughter of Lord Takehiro, a samurai daimyo. When Lord Otonoshi betrays his brother, Lord Takehiro, he takes Hanako hostage. Clever and strong-willed, Hanako disguises herself as a boy and escapes to seek out her exiled father in the forest with her cousin, Keiko. Along the way, she meets and falls in love with the young samurai Yoshiro, but dares not reveal her true identity to him.
Hers is the central story: she struggles with the idea of what it truly means to have 'honor' and whether forgiveness or vengeance is the right path. She presents a bold front, but inside is desperately confused by the strength of her own feelings of grief, anger, and love.

KEIKO (CELIA) 20's. Mezzo. Lord Otonoshi's daughter. She is Hanako's closest friend and confidante, and disapproves of her father's actions. She runs away to the forest with Hanako. Loyal, beautiful, self-sacrificing.

MITSUKO (PHOEBE) 25-35. Alto / belt. A peasant girl, she develops a crush on Hanako, when she is disguised as a boy. Mitsuko is the romantic interest for Kuro, and the most comic of the female characters
.
AYAME / CHIKA 35-45. Mezzo. This actor plays two roles: Ayame is Hanako's mother, who is killed when her father is betrayed. In many ways, Ayame represents an ideal which Hanako feels she cannot live up to. Chika is a peasant woman, Yasu's wife and Kuro's mother, who takes in Hanako and Keiko and provides valuable guidance to them.

YOSHIRO (ORLANDO) 20's. Tenor. A handsome, passionate, naïve young samurai. His father is killed by Lord Otonoshi, and he vows revenge. His plans go awry and he ends up hiding out in the forest with Lord Takehiro's men. He meets and falls in love with Hanako (as a girl), but believes her to be trapped by Otonoshi, beyond his reach. His unrequited love is often self-indulgent, but poignant in its intensity. He struggles to balance the strong emotions of love and hate which possess him, and is confused by his feelings towards Hanako (as a boy).

MAKOTO (JAQUES) 40's. Baritone. A samurai in Lord Takehiro's service, who is ashamed that he has failed his lord, and wants to commit seppuku, which Takehiro will not allow. He provides the existential perspective of the show.

NOBUYUKI (TOUCHSTONE) 30s-40s. Tenor. Keiko's samurai guardian, who escapes with his mistress into the forest as her guardian. He has his own feelings about what true honor is, and has a comic / ironic outlook on life.

LORD TAKEHIKO (DUKE SENIOR) Baritone. 40's-60's. Hanako's father, who is betrayed by his brother, and escapes to live in exile in the forest, where he gathers a band of faithful samurai who eventually help him win back his lands. Strong, wise, idealistic, above all patient.

LORD OTONASHI (DUKE FREDERICK) 40s-60s. Bari-bass. Powerful, threatening, unforgiving. He is Keiko[1]s father. At the start of the story, he overthrows his elder brother, Lord Takehiro, and takes Hanako hostage. Eventually, he is forced (at sword point) to convert to the priesthood.

YASU (CORIN) 40s-60s. Baritone. A peasant man who takes in Hanako and Keiko when they escape to the countryside. Hearty, stubborn, practical, a bit thick. A straight man for Nobuyuki.

KURO (SILVIUS) 20s. Yasu's 9th son. Hanako (disguised as a boy) bunks in with him. Kuro is smitten with Mitsuko, who spurns him in favor of Hanako. Sweet, pitiful, hopelessly romantic.

ICHIRO (OLIVER) 30s. Baritenor. Yoshiros older brother, who remains true to Lord Otonoshi even after the murder of his father. Otonoshi commands Ichiro to hunt down his own brother, but in the long run he has a change of heart and joins Lord Takehiro's forces instead.

KENJI (CHARLES) 30s. Baritone. A samurai, Duke Frederick's champion fighter. Ideally, should be physically imposing. May also double in other roles.

SUSUMU (LEBEAU) 25-45. Baritone. A samurai, Duke Frederick's right-hand man. Scheming. May also double in other roles.

HIROSHI (AMIENS) 25-45. Baritone. A samurai, Duke Senior's right-hand man. Honest, generous. May also double in other roles.

ENSEMBLE CHORUS OF MEN (4-6) Performers with strong movement skills to play a variety of lords, peasants, samurai, etc. Martial arts ability and stage combat experience a major plus, as there will be a number of intricately choreographed fight scenes.

Awats Production – Non Union Short

Im just looking for a few actors for this short film I am planning on making for A film festival and I am also planning on using it for other festivals if it turns out really good which I hope it will. There is no pay but i feel for any actor that wants to get recognized or get their name out there that this will be a great short film that you can act in. Also food will be provided to all actors and hours are pretty flexible no immediate deadline on the film but the shooting should get done before the end of the presidents week. Please reply back if you are interested.

Email: awats555@aol.com

Male / 25-30 yrs.
A well Fit man that can play the role of a father figure but also become a hero. Im looking for this actor to be strong both in the way they speak and also the way they carry themselves, if that makes sense.

Male / 25-30 yrs.
I need a male that can play the role of a kidnapper. The part is not huge but it will be a significant part to play.

Female / 15-17 yrs.
I need a female actor who can play the part of a daughter who gets kidnapped. Is a big part because this role makes the movie pretty much. Also can cry on demand if possible or even act crying if you can really well.

Male / 25-30 yrs.
This role is for a kidnappers assistant. Small role no real dialogue but needs to be a decent actor.

Tue Feb 12, 2008 11:46 pm (PST)

Hey all,
Here is info on our upcoming "Industry Events"
All our "industry events" are unique because I actually take the time to "prep" you on your copy/performance prior to meeting the guest. Several actors now have representation and were immediately called in for auditions.
All events include a one-hr prep where I help you get focused & prepared to showcase yourself best.

If you are interested in any of the below please email aac.seminars@gmail.com with the attendees name in the heading (please send separate emails for each):

Mon 3/10: Kevin McShane - Fifi Oscard (Commercial) at 6pm
Kevin (co-owner of Fifi Oscard Agency) is back for his 4th event. Kevin is freelancing with several actors he met through me & told me he loves our events because they are so fun & he gets to see great people who are "ready" for a world in commercials
*** This is open to only those that have taken my Commercial Intensive (next one is Sun 2/24) ***

Sun 3/16: Lewis Chambers - Bethel Agency (Legit) at 5pm
Lewis is back again. Lewis is the owner of The Bethel Agency a legit agency & Lewis is geniunly one of the nicest people in the industry. Lewis is what I call "one of the good ones" and truly loves actors. Lewis found several people he wants to work with at our last event.
*** This is open first to only past/current students of mine or those whose work I know ***

Mon 3/24: David Vaccari - Telsey & Co. (legit) at 6pm
David is back for his second event and he called in several actors immediately for a national commercial audition from his first event. This time David will be focusing on Legit scenes. Telsey & Co. is one of the biggest casting companies in NYC and David's insight is invaluable
*** This is open first to only past/current students of mine or those whose work I know ***

Check out the comments below and see why what we do stands out:
Jagger,
Thank YOU for setting up such a wonderful event for us! I was very lucky to be there and had a great time. (And yes, the thank you note is in the mail, just like I promised!)
Good to hear that some of the group received some call-in promises.
I'm definitely looking to attend Vaccari's Legit event in March; I'd love to get in front of him to show him what I do best!
I'm definitely considering the Lewis Chambers/Bethel Agency event as well.
Be well and stay warm!
Kevin Sebastian

Jagger,
You reminded me to bring my personality and stop acting.
And David Vaccari liked it so much that he invited me to read for one of the commercials he's casting.
Timing? Sure.
The planets aligned just so? Uh...absolutely...
Great coaching? You bet.
Thanks Yoda.
Cheers,
Einar Gunn

Hey, Jagger! I want to thank you as well for the opportunity we had last night. There are always a lot of options for seminars and "meet and greets" with other companies, but I know that you genuinely care about your actors and wouldn't bring in someone just looking to make some quick cash. I will definitely be signing up for something like this again in the future. Thanks and best of luck!

Living Proof Productions will be casting on Feb. 22 and Feb. 24 at Temple University for a 12-minute short film titled Red Light to be shot in the Philadelphia area. We are looking for people to play principal roles, extras, and featured extras.

In Red Light, a high school teen (Frank) suddenly learns that he has supernatural powers that may change his life and get him the beautiful girl of his dreams (Kelly). His possession of these powers lead him to realize that life is not about the reward, but rather, what you did to get that reward.

All meals and transportation for shoot dates will be covered and a copy of the finished product will be provided.

Breakdown of Cast (Principal Roles):
Frank- Male 15-22 Caucasian
An awkward, slightly outcast high-school teen. Geeky kind of guy, but not nerdy (think Michael Cera). Should have good comedic timing, but also emotional depth for more dramatic scenes.

Kelly- Female 15-22 Caucasian
The attractive dream-girl. Frank has liked her since the second grade.

Cop- Male 30-55 Caucasian
Rough-edge cop who teaches Frank that you must always work hard to get what you want. Facial hair desired.
