NOT OF THIS WORLD NON UNION SHORT
Not of this World is a short film that follow the main character Marcus as his mental health is slowly declining. In this piece he tries to maintain his sanity because he is afraid of what being 'abnormal' so to speak. Its a very human story that focuses on the reality of how every individual makes decisions based on their personal fears, beliefs, and perceptions.
This short film will take a lot of physical acting because it is narrated. The script is fantastic and after it is completed we hope to send it around to various film festivals. Great for talened actors trying to generate a little buzz for themselves.
Email: simplystover@gmail.com

The Queens Players are seeking committed actors with love of Marlowe [or Shakespeare] to audition for our upcoming production of Edward II. This is Marlowe's history play about Edward II's troubled reign. All roles are currently open. Certain male roles, Edward, Gaveston & Spencer may require tasteful partial nudity.
Synopsis
Piers Gaveston, Edward II's boyfriend returns from the exile imposed on him by Edward I following the King's death and Edward's ascension to the throne. Edward's Queen, Isabella and the nobles at court are outraged that the bisexual King should flaunt his lover at court. Mortimer conspires with Isabella and the other nobles to rid themselves of the irritating presence of Gaveston. His agenda is to take over the Crown and hopefully Isabella too. Gaveston and Edward go to war against the Queen's forces. Gaveston is murdered and the King is thrown into his own prison. Once he is safely ensconced Mortimer persuades the Queen that he should be assassinated. The assassination of Edward is one of the most gruesome deaths of any English monarch; he is killed in his prison cell when a red hot poker is inserted in his anus , [this horrific method was employed to leave no external trace of his death].
Following this tragic end, Edward's young son, Edward III upon becoming King discovers Mortimer and his mother's plot. Mortimer is beheaded and Isabella is thrown into prison for treason.
Edward II Character Breakdown
1. Edward II Male Role bi sexual, may require some partial nudity, experience with classical text important.
2. Piers Gaveston Edwards lover, gay, black or ethnic actors encouraged to apply, some nudity may be required
3. Spenser Edward II supporter, male role.
4. Prince Edward son of Isabella and Edward II, ascends to the throne as King Edward III
5. Mortimer Male Villain of the piece, ambitious to take over the crown, seduces Isabella. Overplays his hand and is beheaded in the final scene
6. Edwina, Duchess of Kent Sister to Edward, initially opposes Edward/Gaveston by joining with Isabella/Mortimer but later turns against them.
7. Archbishop of Canterbury Female/Male head of the church, scandalized by the actions of Edward/Gaveston when they divest Coventry.
8. Bishop of Coventry Female/Male Is ridiculed by Gaveston, Edward grants Gaveston the Bishops estate.
9. Lightborn [Lucifer] Betrays Edward, organizes the assassination then is murdered by Edwards assassins
10. Queen Isabella Wife to Edward, mother of Prince Edward
11. Warwick Female Role - Jealous of all the gifts bestowed on Gaveston, one of the chief plotters against Edward
12. Lancaster Female Role warlike and opposed to Edward/Gaveston joins forces with Warwick.
13. Lancasters Assistant/Lightborn the chief assassin
14. Personal Assistant to Edward/Isabella
15. Various assistants - double as assassins
16. Assassins double with personal assistants.
We hope to bring a fresh and exciting version of Christopher Marlowes superb historical tragedy to the New York audience. Faithful to the language but with many cross gender castings and played in modern dress alluding to the New York fashion world. Powerful New York female power players are infuriated by the blatant usurping of their power base when Edward recalls Gaveston from the exile imposed on him by his Father.
The play will go up at The Secret Theatre, auditions are immediate. Please send a headshot and resume by email to: info@thequeensplayers.com

NEW ACCOLADES:
Jagger,
Where do I even begin, thanks just doesn't even cut it anymore. You have given me an immense amount of self confidence in my ability to pursue my dream and a swift kick in the pants when I felt like quitting. I finally feel like I am able to take on the show biz world and that is thanks to you. Your classes have taught me the necessity of connecting with a character in order portray them truthfully and without "acting." The energy level you are able to give to your students every class proves that you are a teacher who actually enjoys what they do and who wants to see his students succeed. You should be very proud of the work you do on and off the screen, cause I know I am.
Amber Alvarado
Jagger, I don't know how to thank you for being such an amazing friend. You have always gone out of your way to support and encourage me as an actor, even when I had my own doubts. You have never hesitated to share your advice, and have always been there to lend an ear when I needed it. I can honestly say you are one of the most hard working, honest, and giving actors/teachers/directors that I know. You never hesitate to give actors advice, especially beginning actors. I learned so much from you about teamwork, breaking down a character, and performing. You love nothing more then to see your fellow actors succeed, and you do everything you can to nurture and encourage them. I feel lucky to be your friend, and I am so proud of your success !!!
Julie Rose Wallach
www.JulieRoseWallach.com
Jagger,
I was really impressed by your class today. I've kind of been bragging about it all night! I just re-entered the legit world this fall, and of all the workshops I've taken, I learned the most from yours. I am soooo sold on your classes and excited to be in your Comedic Acting Class now!
You are a sweet, endearing and supportive acting coach who will fight for talent to discover new levels of their character.
Thanks again!
Jewel Elizabeth
Jagger,
What can I say.....I've taken several of your classes and each time I learn something new and worthwhile. Your most recent Comedic Class did wonders for me. You taught me how to 'act' by not acting and to be myself so that my natural talent and personality shine through. Because of your unique teaching, I've been called for more auditions and have had call-backs. I'm now waiting to hear if I got a role in a new Indie film. Thank you Jagger for being there for me, you're the best. You can count on me to take more of your classes and spread the word about you to my friends in the acting community.
