called "Promotion" in which James, an unassuming employee of National
Prestidigitator, LLC, arrives for his day at work to find that his former
boss has gone insane and he has been promoted.
The roles are thus:
*James* – Nervous, mild mannered guy in his late 20's. He has few leadership
qualities and no desire to climb the corporate ladder.
*Mr. Erickson* – The Director of Sales at National Prestidigitator. He is
heartless and sadistic.
*Audrey* – Manipulates men masterfully with her sexuality. She is Gary's
girlfriend.
*Gary* – A big, muscular telemarketer with little intelligence. He gets a
kick out of bullying his co-workers.
*Thomas* – The only black person in the office. He's worked at NP, LLC for 6
years. He is very charismatic and well spoken on the outside, but inside, he
has a deep disdain for most other people.
*Anthony* – The office stoner. He has no morals to speak of but he knows
what is going on around the office because his position as the mail boy
keeps him circulating among the employees.
*Susan* – Mr. Erickson's secretary. She is sweet, beautiful and innocent
looking. She is beholden to Mr. Erickson because of a secret in their past.
She acts innocent but takes out her rage on any man that she can.
*SAM* – Blustery, mulleted redneck who works at the Gun Counter at OK-MART.
*ANDY* - James' predecessor, whose nervous breakdown causes this mess.
Auditions will be held at the Art Institute of Seattle. Friday, January 25th
at 6pm. Compensation will include meals, credit, a copy of the finished
work, and a fun couple of days in the trenches of low-budget filmmaking.
