Synopsis: The IMAGE of a beautiful dead woman triggers three distinct
thoughts in the MIND of a stray dog, man and priest. While her daughter
has a secret and a question: "What is the LIGHT by which man is served?"

About us:
IML is my second serious short film in six years. My first professional
short was well received when I directed it in 2002, also in Seattle. Here

six years later with all I have learned both as an individual and artist.
I am even more excited to assemble a great crew who share my passion for
filmmaking.
I was very fortunate to meet Producer Justin O'Neil, of HD Cinema Group,
and composer Devin Anderson while working on a cooking show pilot a year
and a half ago. Since then, both Justin and Devin have come on board to
help me realize my labor of love AVA (What we hope will be my feature film
debut.) In addition, I met a wonderful and talented DP, Matthew Skalla, at
last year's Sundance Festival. And finally, my cousin Katerina Gabbro will
be doing Wardrobe and Production Design on IML and ideally AVA. In short,
after putting together a business plan and budget for AVA, Justin and I
realized we needed something more to show investors. We hope IML is that
something. Combining the talents of Justin, Devin, Matthew, and Katerina
to show investors a glimpse of what we are capable of. A glimpse that
wouldn't be possible without you. Of course, the ultimate goal is to
create a short film that stands out on its own. We will be approaching the
making of IML as if we were making AVA: Documenting it for our reality

First off, we will not be able to pay you, but will offer you credit and

The going can get tough with no pay involved. My goal is to eliminate such
resentment by giving you a chance to identify with the story and want to
be a part of it. So, please take the time to review the script and find
out more about us before choosing to go on.
We will be shooting in mid April because we need to take advantage of
trees and flowers blooming. Three days of photography, in Seattle, most
likely over a weekend, but much prep beforehand. We will be renting a
dolly, crane and will be shooting with the new Red Camera. Matthew and I
have discussed the look and are going for something like "Sleepy Hollow,"
"Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events," and my favorites "City
of Lost Children" and "Amelie." We would like to tell a great story with a
very high production value.
